I am Mary Louise, a multi disciplined visual artist who makes map art and cards for travel lovers and for people who want to add a beautifully illustrated map for their wall.

I love to tell a story through my illustrations of a country, an island or a city which gives a preview to the real deal. My pieces are vibrant, adventurous and designed to make you feel like you are living the real experience of visiting that exotic place.

Having been a part of Australia for two decades, I am excited to keep exploring and drawing the places I am discovering here and abroad.

Art has always been my happiest place and I indulge in making images that feel warm, thoughtful, and meditational. Whether I am working on a custom commission or a print you can buy today, my goal is the same: to capture a place you love in a way that makes you pause, remember, and smile.

About Mary Louise

Discover the Art of Mapping

I draw places the way we remember them, alive with tiny clues and the feeling of being there. In this shop you will find maps that hold the hush of a sheltered bay at dusk, the bright chatter of a market street, the slow curve of a road you have taken a hundred times. After two decades of calling Australia home, and wandering well beyond it, I keep a sketchbook full of coastlines, city grids, islands and river towns, then translate those notes into artworks that are equal parts cartography and keepsake. The colours are chosen to breathe, the linework is deliberate, and the compositions are calm on the eye so your memories have room to speak. Each print is produced with archival materials and a studio finish because I want these pieces to mark seasons of your life: a first home, a long awaited trip, a gift that says “this is your place.” Whether you are choosing a ready to hang print or asking me to map a story that is yours alone, my hope is simple: that you pause when you pass it, feel a small lift in your chest, and remember why that corner of the world matters to you. Pick a place that already has your heart, or let us chart a new one together; either way, may it meet you on the wall like a postcard from your own life.
